This is where the problem lies, most ladies go out purchasing make-up products forgetting the most important part; that you have to care for your face first. Your face is the most glaring part of your body, it generates your identity. Here are some tips on how to care for your face
1. Using an exfoliant:
An exfoliating cream removes the dead layer of the skin, it can be used before applying your makeup for a nice finish.
2. Use a face cleanser:
This not only helps in removing dirt from your face but also helps in treating the skin. Most times it is advisable to get a cleanser that contains rosewater and glycerin because of their natural attributes.
3. Don’t sleep with your make-up on:
Sure, you might have had a stressful day, and you might be too tired to walk to the bathroom and get that makeup off, but leaving your make-up on overnight is not a good idea because you are gradually damaging your skin. Because the face is very sensitive, you might wake up with pimples or rashes and moreover your face needs air and the air will definitely not get to your skin with your make-up acting as a barrier. So going to bed wearing your make-up is definitely a NO.
4. Use olive oil:
Most times you have problem taking your make-up off completely even after using those face wipes, it still doesn’t come off completely. Olive oil has lots of benefit but we are going to focus on it been a make-up remover. I’m sure you find that interesting, putting a drop or two of olive oil on a cotton wool and rubbing it on the face after washing your face would help remove make-up completely from your face and also helps in treating your face when used overtime.
5. Take some make-up day off:
I’m sure this might be hard for some ladies but it’s true. Your face needs some time to breathe, at least take two days off in a week: No make-up, just go natural. It helps in building your self esteem and also research has shown that excessive use of make-up causes early aging. You tend to look older when you use make-up overtime and days you decide not to wear make-up, you look totally different and get the bros wondering whether you’re ill or something.
6. Get Help:
In case you have a skin condition do not self medicate and rely on what the internet tells you alone. See a dermatologist and get the right treatment and medication. Also remember to hydrate well, by drinking enough water and no to forget eat healthy. You’re a reflection of what you eat.
